Tareef is a product-focused technology leader passionate about data, design, and using tech for good. After founding five startups across social commerce, discovery, and B2B SaaS, he went to MIT to study people analytics with a specialisation in entrepreneurship and innovation, then to Google in Mountain View in a technical role — where he saw, from the inside, what actually makes a great culture work (the rituals and operating habits, not the free food).
His MIT research surfaced a thesis that has shaped his work ever since: meaningful relationships at work are the variable that predicts almost everything else. His time at Google taught him that great culture is what lets those relationships thrive.
In 2018 he founded Happily.ai to make that thesis operational. The company applies behavioural science and AI to measurably improve how people experience work. Today Happily.ai serves over a thousand teams across the globe and is the only platform with a 97% adoption rate in a category that averages 25%.
